The article considers the possibility of improving the assessment of civil servants based on a holistic approach. It is shown that the assessment should be carried out at the level of personality, activity and behavior, and the content of the assessment can be not only qualification requirements, competencies and personal and professional qualities, but also competence, motivational and value sphere, individual resources, talents, potential, behavior and reputation, as well as performance results and achievements.
