Abstract
The article analyzes and systematizes modern approaches to the study of the phenomena of socio-psychological readaptation and post-traumatic growth in combat participants in domestic and foreign practice. The aim of the work is a comprehensive analysis and systematization of modern scientific ideas about readaptation and the phenomenon of post-traumatic growth in combat participants. It is shown that post-traumatic growth is a significant and natural outcome of a participant’s work with a combat injury, manifested in positive changes in the areas of interpersonal relationships, personal strength, life priorities, opening opportunities and spiritual development. The necessity of integrating an approach involving post-traumatic growth as a mandatory outcome and existing approaches to socio-psychological readaptation into comprehensive readaptation programs is theoretically substantiated. It is shown that such integration will make it possible to move to a new model of assistance to veterans, focused on activating the internal resources of the veteran’s personality.
