In order to educate and develop the patriotic qualities of a person, increase cognitive activity and the level of knowledge of children on the history of their homeland, an Interregional gathering of young sailors was held in Kostroma. The organizers took the dialectic «state - quality - property» as a basis for their work. The article presents the experience of implementing of forms and methods of civil-patriotic education through the inclusion of the cognitive, emotional and activity spheres of the individual. The result of the meeting: the foundations of the value attitude of children to the history of the Motherland, a sense of pride for their nation were formed. The participants received new knowledge on the history of the Solovetsky Jung school, were involved in active research and popularization activities.
